Seattle-born musician Ayron Jones is carrying the torch for rock ‘n’ roll. With a spark that was first lit as a young person in the Emerald City, he was cultivating the light even when no one said he could. Jones, who was abandoned as a child by his parents, grew up with his aunt, teaching himself guitar and grinding in Seattle for over a decade. He became one of the only Black solo artists to earn the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Rock Chart, thanks to his hit single “Mercy”— a cut from his critically acclaimed 2021 major label debut, Child Of The State. This year, Jones’ history-making career continues with his sophomore LP, Chronicles of the Kid.
