Along with opening for Paramore, Bloc Party will be playing some U.S. shows of their own this year.

The “Banquet” outfit has announced headlining shows in Washington, D.C. on May 27 and New York City on May 28.

“During our summer vacation with [Paramore] we have a few days off,” Bloc Party says. “So we’ve decided to fill them with a couple of intimate shows.”

Bloc Party will be on tour with Paramore from May 23 in Charlotte to June 14 in Hollywood, Florida. Paramore will be supporting their new album, This Is Why, which Hayley Williams said was heavily influenced by Bloc Party.
